    1. President Trump was elected for a reason, therefor he should be respected for that. Obama was elected and the other side had to accept it. The same should be towards him. He has done several things already for this country, such as creating new jobs, the unemployment rate has went down, it hasn't been this low since 2007, he has improved on the economy, more trade, more things being made in America, he is watching out for us Americans us FIRST, the US debt is going DOWN not UP, there is several things I could say he's done, he is Presidential.

    3. Whilst I do believe what Olivia is saying about when she says the President should be respected. I believe that with all my heart but there comes a point in which you need to say something. But has the time come so soon? One eighth of the way through the first term? I think he should have a chance to be presidential. But if the point comes were he is hurting us more than helping, then an anti-Trump movement would be a good thing to have to overthrow the president.

8 year old hung by a group of teens and police say the teens need to be protected

    1. I totally agree with these news people. why do four white teens hang a biracial kid who is five years younger than them. but the police say the teens made a mistake, this is only because they're white. but if a group of black teens were to hang a 8 year old white boy, they would all go to jail. this is saying that our justice system isn't fair what soever. I believe this was attempted murder, those teens knew what they were doing. they knew if you hang someone and leave them they might die. Cops need to stop saying this was a mistake when it clearly wasn't.

    2. I agree with the news hosts and what they have to say. How ever I can see where the police officer is coming from by not wanting the boys, who did the hanging, not be tried as an adult. That's scary for a hung teenager to go through a punishment as sever as that crime. Still that IS NOT as excuse for there actions. So I say this the boys who hung the biracial boy deserve to be tried as an adult.

    3. I do not think at all that this is okay, and I do not think these boys were okay for doing what they did. However, I think it is way too soon to start talking about double standards, because we don't know what will happen to these boys just yet. There aren't a lot of details about what actually happened, and we have a lot of speculations, like the people give over at TYT in this video. I think the boys responsible for hanging this other young boy will end up being responsible, just as any other teenagers would have to, regardless of color or race.

    4. I totally agree with jewel. What the heck the know that the are doing like you can't say they don't know what they are doing they are 14 years old they can't say they don't know what to do and what not to do they are not little. I can kind of think of a 6 year old but they wouldn't even do that because they know not to do that. Everyone know that if roles were in reverse they would be in jail for life and say they know what they are doing and everyone knows it is not something new. Racism has been around for a long time and we have some raciest cops and they will stay together.

This seems like a newer story, so I don't want to speculate much with this being a quiet recent story. But I see a lot of people commenting on the racist part of the story and if roles were switched it wouldn't be such a controversy to what the punishment would be. I would like to disagree, even without the racist part its a wrong thing to do. They will get what they deserve, because they almost murdered someone. It was not very racially right, but that doesn't matter because they will get punished for their actions.

  6. Hillary Clinton to Trump: Get Over The Twitter Stuff, Get With Diplomacy

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2_lH-nlZd4

This is interesting because as many people know, it seems the President spends an awful lot of time spewing things on Twitter (AND in his speeches), while nothing is being done in terms of dealing with North Korea (and many other things)

    1. I agree with Xavier I feel as though everyone who does not like Trump and his views are focusing Trump rather than the missal test over Japan. If people think its okay to have a nuclear war then we are really living in the "last days."

    2. President Trump uses Twitter as communication to the American people, verses the media (news) which they ALWAYS tend to twist his words. He is a more up to date president, keeps his people informed. As far as North Korea goes, Obama got us MORE in trouble with North Korea, giving them money to create weapons, etc. What is Trump suppose to do about North Korea? He asked China to become more involved, by not funding money to North Korea anymore. Sounds like more than Obama did to me!

    3. The beautiful thing about this is that honestly, the media doesn't even need to twist Trump's words because of the crazy things he has said HIMSELF, through twitter and in person. This is a man who has a history of focusing so much on the negative things people say about him as opposed to actually proving people wrong about these things. His tweets are ill-timed, rude, and inappropriate. Anyone who thinks he's justified in saying those things "because people are rude to him", has a pretty low standard of the expectations for someone holding the office of the President of the United States. Just imagine all the crap other presidents had to go through without good reason-- and then think about the flack people are giving Trump for the things he's said:

He tweeted, for whatever reason he believed to be good, on 9/11, " I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”

I could literally go on all day with the tweets from Trump, but let me just remind us all of the iconic Trump quote:

"You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything.

Grab them by the p***y, you can do anything."

The media may be "crooked" but no words are being twisted here. This is raw from the mouth and thumbs of the President.

As far as Obama and North Korea goes, where is this proof that Obama gave North Korea money to create weapons? It's actually the contrary-- during Obama's presidency, he pushed and helped to impose more sanctions on North Korea, cutting off the amount of money and resources they would normally receive. (http://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-nuclear-un/u-n-slaps-new-sanctions-on-north-korea-to-slash-cash-from-exports-idUSKBN13P1TF )

I’ll give the President credit where it’s due, it’s sure nice to see something happening with China and North Korea. But the question is, is China imposing sanctions on North Korea because they’re scared of us or simply because they’re being logical? (Considering North Korea now has more nuclear capabilities). The only thing Trump has done about North Korea that is different from Obama currently is that Trump has said he would meet them with “Fire and fury,” while calling Kim Jong Un, “Rocketman”. Things are changing but I guess we’ll have to see if North Korea changes for the better or for the worst.

This is about good things in the world that people don't even know about because all they show is people be killed, someone going to jail or someone hurting someone.

    2. Personally, I think his point is stupid, the US is a melting pot, we embrace all cultures equally so we aren't "stealing" anything. We learn from everyone's culture and that's what makes the US unique .

Since everyone is doing politics, I thought I would do something different, talking about the hurricanes going on and how they are affecting people around the world, and how we are trying to help.
